Meet the Baker

My name is Kaylia and I'll be your cake hero this evening...

Hero Backstory: 

I moved to Lansing to attend MSU College of Law (Go Green). After graduating, I went into the world of banking. I was amazing at my job and enjoyed my work - still do. Then, one day, things shifted.

My cake journey all started when a friend needed a wedding cake...

I'd always baked for my home and the occasional church function, but never for others. When I discovered that my friend was still in need of a cake for her upcoming wedding, I advised her that I would handle it. I had no idea that this one decision would change the course of my career path. 

I poured so much love and time into that wedding cake. It was the first time I'd baked and delivered a cake of that magnitude. After that wedding I WAS HOOKED! 

I began testing various recipes and slowly started to put the word out about my baking business. I became obsessed with cake techniques. Now, I'm always looking to one up myself by baking bigger, more lavish cakes.
